First Friends Pre-school is a small and inclusive Pre-school in Wallisdown. We offer a welcoming and nurturing setting where each individual is valued and supported in their development to help them to flourish and achieve, and above all to be comfortable, independent and confident in their learning environment. Located in the bright and spacious Saint Saviour's Mission Church Hall, First Friends offers a child-led curriculum where children are enabled to learn and develop at a pace suited to their needs and interests. During our daily routine children will learn valuable social and emotional skills, learning to treat each-other, and their environment, with kindness, respect and consideration. We place a high value on learning life skills and independence so that children are well prepared for their onward journey to school. We work closely with the families, parents and carers to ensure that we are always providing learning opportunities suited to the changing needs of the children in our care, and use an online learning journey for each child to track their development and progress. We have a small and imaginative outdoor play space which is free flow during freeplay times, and we arrange regular trips to the Bourne Valley Nature Reserve and Turbary Common to help to support our children's physical development whilst teaching them street safety and nurturing a love of the great outdoors.
