My name is Sue McMennum, I live in the Branksome area of Poole, and have been Childminding for many years. I am an Ofsted Registered Childminder. I am accredited to give parents a choice on receiving government funding up to 30 hrs per week- or equivalent to maximum annual entitlement of 1140 hrs over a stretched period - I offer inclusive practice, and partnership with parents, to accommodate flexible requests on childcare. I thoroughly enjoy caring for our early years children - I work alongside Policies which include First Aid, Child Protection, all aspects of Safeguarding, Health & Safety, Sickness, Behaviour /SEND , Anti - Discriminatory and many more. I have Public Liability and appropriate business home and motor insurances. I currently work with trackers for 0-4 years which I record observations, developmental status, and make assessments, towards implementing next steps. I provide opportunities to extend learning skills promoting opportunities with various play activities, exploring the environment, experimenting to discover how things work We sometimes go on outings to places of interest We visit toddler groups, childminder drop-in groups, farms, adventure parks (Moors Valley), nature and wildlife parks, go for walks, visit beaches, these experiences support children to learn and develop knowledge of the wider world extending Cultural Capital. I have indoor play, home corner, dressing up facilities, music, messy play, painting, play dough, stories, and fun with phonics for school readiness, and much more.
Educational visits to Farms, and museums - additional costs for entry fees for each child are invoiced monthly to your Account. Since COVID-19 LOCK-DOWN I have asked Parents to continue to work alongside side my Covid Policy and Safeguarding Policy keeping the setting and our families as safe as possible and making changes when required against the Government guidelines.
Settling in sessions are available once a contract has been completed

Term time only contracts are available as an alternative to complete all round care, but at a higher rate to compensate bulk school holiday closures.
Additional fees are asked to cover additional services Trips/Outings/Entrance fees, late collection, and if claiming EYFS funding a supplement against the resources required for educational needs, transport expenses, toddler/regular outside group attendance's (which helps to balance the short fall of funding offered by the Government for 3 & 4 year olds )
No charges for my closure of Annual Hols or sickness-this gives you flexibility to finance alternative childcare
Please make sure you have a back up plan for unplanned closures due to Emergencies/my sickness etc/
Parents Annual Holidays / Bank Holidays, flexi time off, and sickness, full fee will apply-as your placement was open to you offering regular paid hours towards the childcare required.
